Letter from the President

Welcome to the Valley of the Sun Concierge Network website. The 2008-2009 season is upon us and besides our normal winter tourist influx, we are also expecting thousands of additional visitors to the valley for the NBA All Star game in February! Our job, as Lobby Concierge, is to make the overall guest experience so wonderful that many of these visitors will return to the valley in the years after an event such as this.

Because of the impact a concierge has on a guest visit to the Phoenix area, the first goal of the VSCN board is to place an emphasis on education. A concierge that is better educated on other areas of the hospitality industry and more informed on local history, attractions and events will provide a more unique experience for their guests. We have many interesting speakers scheduled for the 2008-2009 season and hope that members will attend as many meetings as possible.

Our second goal is to promote the role of the concierge within the hospitality industry. To this end we would like to increase our membership and promote the Valley of the Sun Concierge Network to other hospitality organizations throughout the city. We are also looking at new ways to assist the community in fund raising efforts.
